![]() Thank you for putting up with this intermittent and apparently bizarre problem. I'm still getting by, but occasionally get the urge to beat this dead horse some more. I can't see how this could possibly cause a problem, but might "instant" logins be associated with my SSD somehow? Like some sort of caching happening? (I don't believe in this association but I throw it out for you to trample.) Things worked fine on my old laptop but started failing with my new laptop which my son set up with an SSD. Im trying to connect to my distributors upload server, and i get this error 'Connection attempt failed with 'EACCES - Permission denied'. ![]() Something else has occurred to me (though this my be a red herring). When login is fast/instant file copying fails! If the login is sluggish, it almost always works! This seems really bizarre to me but it is very consistent! 550 CHMOD 777 image.jpg: Operation not permitted Tried to delete from plesk panel but the same. "Slow" is often accompanied with initial connection failure, timeout, then connection success. 1 When I try to delete files from my ftp using filezilla I get the following error: 550 image.jpg: Permission denied The file permissions on this image are 644, tried to change it with something higher but no success. When I login to the server with WinSCP the login sometimes is very *fast* (almost instantaneous). ![]() However I've observed the following that seems to be consistent. Need to transfer a build site published to disk folder to the wamp server, or directly from the web builder to the local server (remote server isn't a prob at all) but a 550 Permission denied and Critical file transfer error don't let me write a single file to the folder, nor even can't create folders. Consider using PASV.I still have no resolution. Now, on my other laptop, Windows 10, I can successfully establish an ftp connection to that IP, change directories to that directory, but when I actually try to 'put' a file, I get 'permission denied' C:\Downloads>ftp ***.***.*.113Ģ00 PORT command successful. TX packets:328184 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 I have changed the writeenableNO to writeenableYES in /etc/nf but it didn't help. 31 Okay, so Ive tried my best at finding the answer to this by searching and looking through possible duplicates, but I just cant so forgive me if its out there somewhere anyways. What I've Tried: I can't delete or upload to the FTP server when I try to change the file permissions, it denies it.
